Clean, attractive, well laid out. The sites where we were are gravel, but level. We arrived late, after the office was closed, but still got an escort to the site, which was welcome in the dark. Staff and management were friendly, flexible and helpful. The train and interstate noise others have mentioned was there, but not a problem in the hum of our air conditioner. Pet friendly, the owners dog was with him and welcomed our two dogs to the site! Rate was a Good Sam rate, they will also honor the KOA card for discount. We will come back.

Nice park, well laid out, easy access. We arrived late and left early, so had little interaction with the staff, but the one contact was friendly and helpful. The shower arrangement was not well received by the ladies in our family camping group. A door from the bathrooms leads to a common hallway with individual shower rooms all along the hall. This is obviously an efficient system, but the ladies were not too comfortable with the arrangement. A little high priced, but a good place for an overnighter. We would come back.

Don't waste the gas or the time, unless you are totally self-contained. It is a long drive in: 5+ miles from the main gate. Be sure you use the right entrance as the secondary entrance closes early and it is a long drive around. The campground is well laid out, very pretty, and the sites are fairly level. The bath house however, is in a word: awful. They are filthy, with broken fixtures and holes in the walls. The ladies has two shower stalls, but you have to go through one to get into the other. The staff was friendly, apologetic and stated that this was not the first complaint, but that there were no refunds, and nothing seems to get done. They asked us to please complain to the state (I did, on the postcard they provided), and said that it is a problem with the "contractors" who take care of the bathhouses. We will not be back.

We arrived without reservations, and were very pleased. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got a back-in site on the river, which was paved and partially shaded. The sites were easy to manage and well laid out. The roads were a little confusing. They are one-way and not clearly marked to lead you through the mobile-home area, and getting in and out of the campground. The whole campground and the permanant area is clean, neat and attractive. We will stay again.

Each site was secluded, making it feel like you were in the coastal wilderness. Hookups were well located. Water pressure was perhaps a little high so a regulator would be a good idea. The dump station was well equipped with a clean-up hose on a reel that made the process much simpler. Some sites were a little short and some would be tight to get a bigger rig into, so some care with site selection would be advised. The staff was great. We would go back.
